Lily is 4 months old

Lily turned 4 months old on the 2oth. We took her to the doctor and she now weighs 14.4 (50th percentile) pounds and is 25 inchs long (75th percentile). She's healthy and happy and can roll over front to back and back to front. She has no antibody markers for juvenile diabetes and she slobbers like crazy. Here are some pictures we had taken of her today.

Am I cool or what?

We had to put the bow on her so I could tell it was Lily and not Hunter. They look so much alike.

Cousins

Dawn decided to relocate to Washington. We got the kids together last week. Kirah was really taken with Lily. They giggled together and had a good time. Carramon was also intrigued, but didn't want to hold her.

First Foods

I think this about sums up Lily's first experience with rice cereal.

Jumping Baby

We put Lily in her jumping seat for the first time. She looked a little unsure at first and then decided she liked it--for about 5 minutes. She starts to slump down after a few minutes and only her head is visible above her bouncer.

Lily in Action

As you can see, I've rediscovered my digital camcorder. And I figured out how to add videos to blogger, so enjoy.

I discovered this song by Steven Curtis Chapman a few weeks ago. It's called "Cinderella" and he wrote it a little while ago about his three little daughters. A few weeks ago, the youngest daughter was run overby a truck and died. You can read about it here and see his video of Cinderella. It's heartbreaking, but as the song says you really need to cherish every moment with your little ones because you don't know how long you will have them. I'm so grateful for the gospel to know that my children will be with me forever. Anyway, Alex decided that this sweet song would be his special song for Lily. He offered it to Megan, but she already had "Butterfly Kisses" for their special song. I like this video of Lily because you can see her sweet personality. She really is a mellow child and brings alot of peace into our home.

Laughing Lily

Here are some recent pics of our lovely, laughing Lily. She is quite a pleasant child most of the time. She thinks her siblings are hilarious.

Fishing--City Slicker Style

Saturday, June 7 was "free fishing day" in Washington. Everyone was allowed to fish without a license that day. Alex took the boys to Steel Lake Park to fish. Trout Unlimited had cordoned off part of the Lake and stocked it with tons of trout. They provided the fishing rods and tackle and guarenteed each child would catch 2 trout. They had a blast. Unfortunately they didn't clean the fish for them, but a quick call to Uncle Brent in Idaho helped us out.

Hunter's First Grocery List

I took Hunter to Costco today. He helped me by making a list for me. He asked me what I needed and how to spell everything. It took him about 20 minutes to finish it. He was really proud of it. Here's what it says: eggs, tomatoes, glue, glasses, beans, grapes, strawberries. Costco, Cost
