Alex took Hunter with him to work for Amgen's Take Your Kid to Work Day.
He let Hunter decide if he wanted to take the train to work or the bus.
Guess which one he chose. He's been reading books about trains all week to get ready.
This is the train they took. They got to ride on the second story.
They even had a little table inside.
Hunter on the Helix bridge going into Alex' building. It's shaped like a strand of DNA, so they call it the Helix bridge.
Having pancakes for breakfast at the Watson & Crick Cafe.
The future scientist (or train engineer)
Decked out in Alex' lab coat.
Decorating T-shirts.
Doing top secret experiements.
Observing the centrifuge.
Sterile and safe conditions must be observed.
After work, Alex took him up the space needle. The outside observation deck is not covered. Hmmm, was that an engineering oversight or what?
The train station down town and passing Quest stadium.
This kid was beaming all day.
One pooped (but happy) little boy.

What a cool place to work and a great experience for a kid! I'd love to do that too :)
