The Trumpet Case

Dylan began playing the trumpet this year. My dad gave him his old trumpet and he was thrilled. Unfortunately it came with a very old and heavy case (without a shoulder strap). All Dylan could talk about since the first day of school was how he needed a new trumpet case. He did all the research on the internet and found the best prices. Derrel offered to pay for the case (and a mute. Thank you Derrel. We love you.). Well, the case came today and Dylan was sooooo excited.
It even came in a trendy teal color.
Hunter felt a little left out and decided he wanted to play an instrument too. He found Dylan's old recorder and set to practicing. Unfortunately recorders don't come with mutes.
The recorder, of course, needed a case. I offered to sew him a bag for the instrument, but he didn't think it would be sturdy enough. After trying to make one out of cardboard, he decided that Dylan's old trumpet case would do great for his case.
He even has a wand for cleaning the recorder which he does after every use. He also washes his mouth out before playing it because Dylan does that too. He sits on the step in the garage to practice because Dylan does that too. Also he told me to wake him up early tomorrow morning because his teacher told him to practice everyday just like Dylan's. Very cute. I'm surprised he can even lift the old trumpet case. It's pretty heavy.
